Here’s What’s in the Mix with IMC Mobile Bowl Stands

Commercial kitchen operators are constantly looking for ways to increase efficiency & increase productivity. Therefore, one of the most important items to have in your commercial kitchen is a mobile mixing bowl stand. They are mandatory for your cafeteria, bakery, dining hall, or other foodservice establishment.

In this article, we’re going to explore the uses of a mobile bowl stand. We’ll also give you a full benefit breakdown of an IMC mobile bowl stand. Let’s begin.

What’s an IMC Mobile Bowl Stand Used For?

Simply put, these products hold compatible mixing bowls at the perfect standing height. Typical tasks include marinating meats, blending soups, adding in butter for pastries, mixing batters, tossing salads, coating chicken wings & more.

The wide, deep base of the bowl offers a large surface area that is perfect for quickly performing prep tasks. Typical units can accommodate either a 30-quart or 80-quart bowl size. As always, custom sizes are available.

What’s the Overall Benefit?

First & foremost, IMC mobile bowl stands are easy to move all around the kitchen. Put the bowl in the stand & move to dry storage, to prep area, or to a washing area quickly & easily.

Furthermore, by having a mobile mixing bowl stand in your commercial kitchen, you’ll be able to reduce the number of trips you have to make from your walk-in refrigerator to your prep station because you can simply take your mixing bowl with you.

Some IMC models (T30/T80)   come with tray slides underneath, which can be used to hold trays of cookies, pasties, or other items. Other IMC models (U30/U80) come with an undershelf to hold silverware, bottles of dressing, towels, utensils or other supplies.

Each IMC mobile bowl stand comes standard with four wheels that make for effortless transportation of large batches of product & for easy maneuvering around your kitchen when going to & from the walk-in, dry storage area, or front-of-house.

Which One Is Right for You?

As mentioned earlier, mobile bowl stands can accommodate 30-quart or 80-quart bowls. Plus they can have undershelves or tray slides. So, which configuration is right for you?

The answer will lie in the nature of your business. If you run a bakery, having your mobile bowl stand equipped with a tray slide will be invaluable. If you run a small dining operation that is not doing too much in-house baking, maybe the undershelf will serve a better purpose for your supplies. Try to survey the volume & operation of your business before investing in a mobile bowl stand. Pick the right stand that will work for you.
